· - Damp sponge
Step 1:
Wash down the furniture with warm soapy water to remove all dirt then lightly sand down all surfaces.
Step 2:
Paint on the first coat ensuring not to put too much paint on the brush. The first coat will need to be fairly light. Wipe away any drips that occur. Leave for paint to dry and when not tacky turn over and complete the underside. Leave overnight to dry properly.
Step 3:
Apply a generous second coat with even strokes to avoid any streaking. Again wipe away any drips and allow too dry. Only turn over to paint the underside when completely dry, if still tacky it will leave impressions in the paint.
Step 4:
Now the fun part, place furniture in desired position and decorate. I have used a mass collection of cushions from cushionspot.com.au to create a softer and relaxing feel.
